Palm Beach International is close enough that its controlled airspace covers the island and a wide band of the mainland, so nearly every venue in this market needs an authorization in hand before a flight. We file through LAANC where the automated grid releases a workable ceiling, and we submit a manual request to the FAA where the program needs more altitude than the grid will give. Lantana airport to the south generates its own coverage over the Hypoluxo and Boynton stretch.
Two other items get verified for each address. Temporary flight restrictions appear over this island with some regularity and can arrive on short notice, so we recheck in the days before a show rather than relying on a filing made months earlier. Beach launches are also a ground permission question: whoever controls the sand sets the pad location and the guest line, and that gets settled with the venue well before a timeline is printed.
Site work on a narrow island is detailed work. We walk the property with the planner to find level ground clear of palms, glass and overhead wire, then set the perimeter so guests watch from the right angle without standing under the fleet. Salt air and humidity get accounted for in the equipment prep, and the recovery plan keeps every aircraft over land or controlled water rather than drifting out toward the surf.
Fire is a real constraint even in a wet climate. Oceanfront vegetation and sea grape go dry in the winter season, dune plantings are protected and flammable, and clubs with historic tile and timber structures will not permit anything that throws an ember.
